On April 26, 2022, Blood Tribe Police officers were called to a residence on the Blood Tribe where a victim was suffering from obvious signs of trauma. The victim was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation revealed that the victim was with two males when a firearm was displayed and the males demanded money. The victim was subsequently assaulted by the two males and suffered a stab wound as a result of the assault. The suspects then stole the victim's vehicle and left the victim on the side of the road. The victim attended a nearby residence and requested police and EMS. The victim's vehicle has since been recovered.
Corey Nelson Amyotte, 35, from Calgary, and Riley John Masuskapoe, 26, from Edmonton, are both wanted for aggravated assault, robbery with a firearm, and other weapons-related offences.
The suspects and victim were known to each other and investigators believe this is an isolated incident. There is no immediate risk to the public but these individuals should not be approached as they are believed to be armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about this matter or any other matter is asked to contact the Blood Tribe Police Service at 403-737-3800 or Blood Tribe Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers, and if you provide information that leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward.
