





Violent offender arrested after short-term operational
On December 9, 2024, the Blood Tribe Police Service conducted a short-term enforcement operation on Mitchell BRANDON, who was reported to be on the Blood Tribe Nation.
BRANDON had been linked to multiple violent occurrences in southern Alberta, including discharging a firearm on the Piikani Nation.
BRANDON was located at a residence on the Blood Tribe and confronted by police. BRANDON fled but was arrested a short time later.
Mitchell BRANDON, 32, of Lethbridge, AB, has been charged with flight from police and operating a motor vehicle while prohibited.
BRANDON was also arrested on outstanding warrants out of Piikani Nation RCMP and Lethbridge Police Service for:
Operation while prohibited x2
Dangerous operation
Flight from peace officer
Aggravated assault
Discharge firearm with intent
Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
Pointing a firearm
Possession of a firearm knowing its unauthorized
Possession of a firearm contrary to order x 3
BRANDON was brought before a JP and remanded into custody to appear in Cardston Provincial Court on December 16, 2024 for the Blood Tribe matters, and December 19, 2024, in Lethbridge Provincial Court on all other matters.
