




On November 11, 2023, the Blood Tribe Police Service Community Policing Unit responded to a complaint of an unknown male unlawfully in a residence in the community of Standoff, located on the Blood Tribe Nation.
As BTPS members approached the male on the scene, he fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later with the assistance of community members.
A search of the male subsequent to the arrest revealed approximately ten (10) grams of suspected Fentanyl pre-packaged for distribution, scales, drug paraphernalia, and a knife.
Leland EAGLE SPEAKER, 18, of Standoff, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl and being unlawfully in a dwelling.
EAGLE SPEAKER was brought before a JP for a bail hearing and was released on a Release Order to appear in Cardston Provincial Court on November 27, 2023.
