Traffic stop results in drug and firearm seizure.

On February 22, 2023, the Blood Tribe Police Service conducted a vehicle stop for suspected impaired driving. As a result of the traffic stop the lone driver was arrested and charged with his third offense under the Immediate Roadside Sanctions.
Further investigation found the male to be in possession of a firearm, 2 grams of suspected Fentanyl, 7.9 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, and numerous rounds of ammunition.
Ronald Charles CUTTER, 58, of Standoff, AB, was charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance x2, Breach of a Release Order, Breach of a Prohibition Order, and Driving while under Roadside Sanction Suspension.
In addition, CUTTER was found to be on a warrant for an additional five (5) charges.
CUTTER was brought before a JP and was remanded in custody for the purposes of a bail hearing on February 24th, 2023.
