Carfentanyl Seizure Worth Over $16,000

On July 20, 2018 Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) along with members of the Calgary Police Service and the RCMP arrested and charged Patrick Devine for possession for the purpose of trafficking. Police seized 202 suspected Carfentanyl pills, estimated street value is in excess of $16,160.

March 03, 2025 Police seeking public's assistance in locating missing youth On the evening of February 28 , 2025, the Blood Tribe Police Service received a report of a missing person. Kittson 'Dogger' Tail Feathers, 13, from the Blood Tribe, was reported to be last seen on February 28, 2024, at a residence in the Moses Lake Community located on the Blood Tribe Nation. Police investigation revealed that Dogger has been seen in the Moses Lake Community through February 28, 2025 - March 02, 2025. Dogger is described as being 5'10" in height and weighs approximately 110lbs. Dogger has medium-length black hair and brown eyes. Surveillance footage was observed and Dogger was seen to be wearing the same sweater depicted in the photo. At this time police do not suspect foul play. January 9, 2025 **UPDATE** Shanielle WELLS, who was previously reported missing has been found safe. Police seeking public's assistance in locating missing youth On the evening of January 6, 2025, the Blood Tribe Police Service received a report of a missing person. Shanielle WELLS, 14, from the Blood Tribe, was reported to be last seen on December 27, 2024, at a family member's house on the Blood Indian Reserve, AB. Police investigation revealed that Shanielle was given a ride to the Park Place Mall in Lethbridge, Alberta, on December 31, 2024. Shanielle is described as being 5'5" in height and weighs approximately 130lbs. Shanielle has medium-length brown hair and brown eyes. At this time police do not suspect foul play. Human Remains Located On October 29, 2024, the Blood Tribe Police Service was called to a wooded area northwest of the community of Levern, located on the Blood Tribe Nation after human remains found were in an advanced stage of decomposition. The investigation is on going and no further information will be released at this time.

October 26, 2024 BTPS is requesting the public's assistance in finding a missing person On the evening of October 25, 2024, the Blood Tribe Police Service received a report of a missing person, Gary Dwight SCOUT. Gary, 45, from Standoff, AB, was last seen by family in July 2024. Gary is described as being 5 foot 6 and weighs around 190 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. At this time police do not suspect foul play. September 27, 2024 BTPS is requesting the public's assistance in finding a missing person On the afternoon of Thursday, September 26, 2024, the Blood Tribe Police Service received a report of a missing person, Mia Mountain Horse. Mia, 15, from the Blood Tribe, was last seen on September 26, 2024, at approximately 1 pm in the community of Standoff. Mia was last seen wearing a black sweater, black baggy pants, and red shoes, Mia stands about 5'5 and is approximately 130 lbs. At this time police do not suspect foul play. September 24, 2024 Search Warrant results in seizure of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and replica firearms On September 21, 2024, at approximately 6:45 am, BTPS members responded to a call of shots being fired near a residence in Lower Standoff, AB, located on the Blood Tribe Nation. Upon arrival, multiple individuals were taken into custody. A subsequent investigation resulted in the execution of a Search Warrant which resulted in the the seizure of 62 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, 34 grams of suspected Fentanyl, replica firearms, ammunition, and multiple-edged weapons. Carter Dylan Rains, 32, of Pincher Creek, AB, has been charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine 10 additional charges of Failing to Comply with a Prohibition Order, related to the possession of firearms and ammunition. Rains had his bail hearing and was remanded into custody until September 26, 2024. All other individuals located on the scene were released without charge.
